Established in 2000 at Sri Kanyaka Parameswari Arts and Science College for Women, the Department of Hindi has evolved into a prestigious academic hub. Located in Sowcarpet, Chennai, the department serves a vibrant North Indian community, fostering an environment where language and culture thrive together.
The department is led by a dedicated faculty: Dr. P.B.Vaneetha (Dean & HOD), who has been steering the department for 26 years, and Dr. Madhu Vinay, serving as Assistant Professor for the past 12 years. Together, they nurture an atmosphere of academic excellence and mentorship.
With a growing strength of 150 to 200 students annually, our students are known for their brilliance, consistently securing University Ranks. Beyond textbooks, our forum *Lehar Hindi Association* empowers students to showcase their talents. Our "smart" and talented students frequently win top honors at inter-collegiate levels across the city.
To provide global exposure, we organize annual Educational Tours across India, allowing students to experience the country’s diverse heritage firsthand. Vision: To empower women through linguistic excellence and cultural rootedness, ensuring they shine in every field they choose.
