Course Overview
The Department of Sanskrit established in 2004 in our college plays an important role in promoting the study of the Sanskrit language and literature. Sanskrit is one of the oldest languages in the world and is considered the mother of many Indian languages. Through this department, students gain knowledge about ancient Indian culture, philosophy, and traditional values preserved in Sanskrit texts. The department also has a student association called the Sanskrit Association. The main aim of this association is to develop students’ interest in the Sanskrit language and to encourage them to participate in various academic and cultural activities. Every year, the association organizes several programs and competitions for the students.
Activities such as Sanskrit speech competitions, sloka recitation competitions, essay writing, quizzes, and Sanskrit drama are conducted regularly. Special programs are also organized on important occasions such as Sanskrit Day and Mother Language Day. These activities help students improve their language skills and increase their confidence.
Students actively participate in these events with great enthusiasm. Such programs provide a good platform for them to express their talents and creativity. Overall, the Sanskrit Department and its association activities contribute greatly to the academic growth and overall development of the students while promoting the rich heritage of the Sanskrit language.
