About the Library

The institution library has implemented comprehensive and effective library management procedures. The library provides a spacious reading environment and a conducive atmosphere for study. It includes an exclusive reference section for students and faculty.

The library houses 14,760 books overall, 9904 Titles, 288 reference books 8 journals and a collection of e-books through DELNET. The library is partially automated using the Auto Lib software and functions as a member of the Developing Library Network (DELNET).

DELNET provides access to several academic databases, journals, articles, CD-ROM databases, video recordings, sound recordings, theses and dissertations, and e-books.

A biometric system is also implemented to maintain visitor records and monitor library usage.

Kanyaka Book Bank

The Kanyaka Book Bank was initiated in the academic year 2014–2015 under the guidance of Principal Dr. T. Mohanashree. The primary objective of the book bank is to support students from economically weaker sections by providing academic resources.

The initiative began through generous donations from philanthropists, alumni of SKPC, and faculty members across departments.

The core objective of the book bank is to provide books free of cost to students who are unable to purchase them.
