Psychology Lab

The Department of Psychology has well equipped  “Psychology lab” to carry out cognitive and psychophysical assessments The psychology laboratories are purpose built rooms that allow psychology students to collect data from human participants using assessment tools and opportunity to enhance their psychological testing methods. The psychology laboratory has procured various instruments and tests for conducting experiments in Intelligence, Attention, Perception, Emotions, Memory ,Sensory motor processing, Concept formation, Color preference Adjustment, Stress, Anxiety, Personality ,Self concept, Carrier Maturity ,Job satisfaction.

Hands-on Learning in Psychological Testing

Students are trained in administering, scoring, and interpreting psychological testing, enlivening the student’s interest and enhancing their comprehension of how psychological tests work.

Intelligence Test (IQ Test)

IQ test is an assessment that measures a range of cognitive abilities and provides a score that is intended to serve as a measure of an individual’s intellectual abilities and potential. Common types of IQ tests are: Ravens Standard Progressive Matrices &Gardner Multiple Intelligence Test.

Personality Assessment

Eysenck Personality Test & Cattell’s 16 PF Test is a Self-report inventory involve introspectively assessing their own personality characteristics.

Career Maturity Inventory (CMI)

Assess the process of adolescents and adults approach towards career development tasks and readiness attitudes of students in making appropriate vocational plans.

Student Stress Scale

Assess students stress in various aspects regarding financial, family, social, Education, Ego threat, personal set back and health.

Attention Test

Attention test helps to evaluate level of attention, behavioral alterations, response time, visual perception, shifting inhibition,  spatial perception, processing speed, visual scanning, and hand-eye coordination.

Trial and Error learning Test

Assess students learning skill ,problem solving ability, level of memory, motivation, spatial knowledge and sensory experience.

AUTOCAD LAB

The traditional drafting of design by hand is replaced by the use of Computer aided design shortly termed as CAD. 3D models of both interiors and exteriors of a building give shape to the ideas originated in the minds of our young designers. The institution provides a fully equipped AutoCAD lab for the students to incorporate digital 3D modeling thereby giving shape to their ideas. The experience offers opportunities for the students in 3D modelling, furniture design and graphic design.

INTERIOR DESIGN LAB

Interior design lab shortly termed as ID lab explores and incorporates modern design ideas in the interior. ID lab pictures the spatial arrangement of residence incorporating design principles. The interiors facilitate the students to understand the spatial arrangement in the residences. Been renovated in 2015, the lab is designed and furnished matching the current trends in the field of interior design. Students experimented their ideas in the designing process. The mural painting in the bedroom, TV wall unit and accessories adorning the walls and shelves are all the works of our students. This experience adds value to their placement opportunities.

TEXTILE LAB

Clothing and Textiles have been the fundamental part of human life since the beginning of civilization. The curriculum offers opportunities for the students to experiment in the field of textile and clothing.  The textile lab is fully equipped with necessary machineries and instruments for the students to explore the world of clothing and textiles that can be used in interiors as curtains, bedspreads, pillow covers and upholstery. The lab comprises an embroidery machine along with sewing machines. The experience in this field offers placement opportunities in garment design, textile industries and as designers in reputed textile showrooms.
